An Underdog With Small Town Roots

I grew up in Kimberly, Alabama—a small town where life revolved around family, tradition, and the outdoors. Whether I was hunting, fishing, or playing football, I was raised with a hard work ethic and a bit of a chip on my shoulder.

I’ve always been the underdog. I went to a small high school and a small college. Even when I made it to the NFL with the Steelers, I did it on a tryout. That "underdog" mentality is just part of my DNA; it’s how my parents raised me. But even when I was playing on the biggest stage in the world, I used to tell people: “I’m not a football player who duck hunts. I’m a duck hunter first.”

From Fairway
To Field

After I finished playing, I spent a couple of years trying to figure out my next move. I fell in love with golf, but the more time I spent at country clubs, the more I noticed something. I’d see guys out there golfing in polos but wearing their work boots, or I’d see a skeet shooting range on the edge of the property.

I had this moment where it just clicked: “This isn’t a country club. This is Club Country.”

I realized there wasn't a brand out there that represented someone like me—the guy who wants a high-quality shirt he can wear to the course, but also to dinner or church, all while staying true to his roots.

If You're Out,
You're In

To me, success used to be measured in moments—a touchdown or a big win. But today, being successful means being a good business owner, and one day, a good husband and father. I wanted to build a community that values quality and attention to detail, but remains open to everyone.

We have a saying here: If you’re out, you’re in. If you love being outdoors, you’re in. And if you’ve ever felt like you were on the "outside" of the traditional golf world, come be a part of this. It’s the lifestyle I’ve lived my whole life, and I’d love for you to live it with me.

Club Country has been a part of me long before it had a name. It's more than just apparel; it's a way of life. It's for those who move seamlessly between fairway and field, who take aim and let it rip, who find freedom in the great outdoors, whether it's sunrise in the woods or sundown on the greens.

I started this brand because I wanted gear that could keep up with a lifestyle—something well-crafted and built for wherever the day takes you. Club Country is taking you to the fairway, the field, and everywhere else in between.

Glad to have you here. Stay tuned for more—we've got some exciting things coming.

Till next time,
